Medical rollers are effective treatments for collagen induction, wrinkles, acne scars, hyper pigmentation and stretch marks. Unlike other skin treatments like laser that destroy the epidermis; the roller does not destroy the epidermal layer. The major advantage of rolling is the epidermis stays intact allowing the skin to restore itself quickly after a treatment.

The roller works by creating ‘micro wounds’ in the dermis of the skin that over time encourage the body to stimulate the natural production of collagen. After treatment a new layer of tissue forms which ‘fills in’ the cavities left by atrophic scars and wrinkles.

Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) is the latest therapy for skin cell regeneration. Laser and Dermabrasion were the first choice for clients wishing to rejuvenate their skin. But, these methods can destroy the epidermis and underlying skin cells even forming scar tissue. They can also cause skin to be more sensitive to photo damage.

Collagen Induction Therapy works by rolling the needles over the skin in several directions, after a topical anesthetic has been applied. The continuous rolling disrupts the old collagen structures, breaking them down and encouraging the replacement of new collagen under the epidermis.

The advantages of CIT are:

1. No open wound

2. Non ablative

3. Very short healing time and post treatment inflammation when compared with laser and dermabrasion

4. No risk of photosensitivity or hyper pigmentation.

5. No post treatment infections

6. Patient does not need to take more than an afternoon off work

Stretch Marks & Wrinkles

Medical rolling can stimulate cell regeneration and reduce the appearance of unsightly and embarrassing stretch marks caused through pregnancy or puberty or weight gain/loss.

The first signs of aging skin on the face are fine lines e.g. crows feet. The skin loses its elasticity, collagen breaks down and the skin holds less moisture.

What can be done to roll back the years? The answer is CIT!

Depending on skin type, 1 to 4 medical rolling treatments every 4 to 6 weeks will give dramatic results. To maintain the results we recommend another CIT treatment annually. In between medical treatments we recommend you use the home roller.  The treatment can be enhanced by using specific serums containing peptides, vitamins and amino acids to treat specific problems.
